Nautical Channel Club Wedding

Allison and Dan’s Channel Club Wedding

We had such a fun time at Allison and Dan’s Channel Club wedding this past Saturday. What we originally thought was going to be a day filled with umbrellas, rain boots, dodging impending storm clouds turned out to be a perfect spring day!

6.2.2018

We started our day with Allison at an adorable rental in Long Branch where her, her family, and her bridesmaids all got ready. Allison was obsessed with details and had the most gorgeous invitations, ring boxes, dishes, and jewelry to photograph – an absolute dream for us! We also can’t forget the classy Jimmy Choos and stunning Watters gown which made everyone’s jaws drop, Allison sure does know how to pick a dress! Allison’s easy-going and fun-loving personality made her a joy to work with. She was so easy to photograph and had us laughing the whole time behind the camera.

Meanwhile, Dan was getting ready at a nearby hotel with his groomsmen. Dan mirrors Allison’s love-for-life personality perfectly! It is so clear to see how compatible they are.

We then headed to Asbury Park for a first look. Dan loves the awesome murals that make up the cool aesthetic of the boardwalk and thought that they would make the perfect backdrop for their first look. The bright colors and vivid design couldn’t have been more perfect for their personalities.

We were then joined by the bridal party for photos in front of the historic carousel and casino. We love our bridal parties but we have to give an extra hand to this bunch for their friendliness, helpfulness, and timeliness. (When we said 5 minutes, they were in there in exactly 5 minutes! That never happens!)

After some bridal party fun and shenanigans, we made our way to some secret spots for photos with the couple. Then we journeyed to The Channel Club.
The Channel Club had recently undergone a renovation which turned out beautifully! Allison said that she loved the beautiful view and yachts at The Channel Club which inspired their nautical wedding feel. Knowing this we wanted to make as much use of the picturesque bay as possible and had a blast taking pictures out on the dock.
Luckily we did not get any rain and were able to have the ceremony outside overlooking the marina and bay. Their ceremony was filled with love, expression, and emotion. They even did a knot-tieing ceremony that was in-line with their theme.

After the ceremony, it was time to party! Allison and Dan also wanted an important part of their life together incorporated in their day, their English Bulldog, Brutus. Brutus was featured in an ice sculpture shaped in his likeness and as a fondant decoration on their cake!

Allison and Dan threw an amazing party and we were so happy to be there to capture it. We wish them nothing but health and happiness in their future together! A beautiful Channel Club Wedding!!

Congratulations Allison and Dan!
