Kim and Chucks Clarks Landing Wedding
Kim and Chuck’s June 10th wedding at Clarks Landing was an elegant affair!
We started out with Kim and Chuck getting ready, we had fun playing with Kim’s details and photographing her bridal portraits. Getting ready is one of our favorite times of the day to shoot; you can feel all the energy and excitement before the couple sees each other for the first time. We then headed down the street to Kim’s childhood Church. Kim said that she always dreamed of getting married there and it was wonderful to watch that dream come true! Kim wore a stunning Casablanca dress and held a classic red bouquet that perfectly matched her bridesmaids.
We love the romantic look that red brings. Our next stop was to one of our favorite places, the majestic Monmouth University. Kim and Chuck’s wedding vision was classy and elegant, which was a perfect fit for Wilson Hall’s gorgeous architecture. With the weather being as temperamental as it has this season we were happy to have a dry place inside to shoot. Although we did brave the drizzle for a couple photos outside and under an archway, sometimes weather has a way of bringing out an extra bit of creativity!
Clarks Landing
The reception was held at one of our all-time favorite venues, Clarks Landing Yacht Club. Even though it was still a bit misty we decided to make the most of it and hopped on the dock for some cute shots under the umbrella! Also, Kim had a surprise in store for her new husband. Chuck’s full name is Chuck Taylor, just like the famous shoe designer. This gave Kim the amazing idea of having custom Chucks made with their name and wedding date embroidered on them! So cute! We love when couples have those fun details that are so unique to them.
As for the reception, with SCE mixing you knew it was going to be a good time with a fun dancefloor! We were so honored to be a part of Kim and Chuck’s big day and we wish them years and years of health and happiness together!
