Saj & Alyssa | 7.12.19

Alyssa and Saj’s magical Clarks Landing wedding was a truly special day. We had gotten to know Alyssa and Saj pretty well over the past year and really bonded with them. So naturally, we were beyond excited for their big day!

We started off the day with Alyssa and her bridal party getting ready at her family’s beach house in Point Pleasant. This was the perfect setting to get us in the mood for the sunny summer day ahead of us. Alyssa’s mom and sister helped her into her gorgeous Justin Alexander ballgown. She looked like a true-life princess. We spent a little time getting some cool portraits of our bride and then headed out to our first look.

Saj had spent the morning with his groomsmen getting ready. Our groom looked like a very GQ version of prince charming awaiting his bride when we arrived in Spring Lake Park. Alyssa and Saj shared an adorable and funny first look (Saj wanted to know how we would “transport” Alyssa in her huge skirts). Then we brought out the bridal party for some super fun photos. Everybody was joking and having a blast and handled the heat with no complaints. After we sent the bridal party to cool off, we took some time with our bride and groom. They really looked like something out of a fairytale as they walked through the park together.

On our way to our venue, we made a quick stop at the Spring Lake library and theater. This is one of our favorite spots to shoot and Alyssa and Saj brought all the drama and romance. Then we drove over to Clarks Landing for the rest of the day. We knew Alyssa loved all things Disney and were really excited to see all the hidden Mickey details throughout the reception.

After snagging some lovely photos on the dock, we headed back up for our ceremony. The sun shined brightly and family and friends were teary-eyed at the emotional celebration. After the “I do’s” we took our family photos outside before going in for cocktail hour. Alyssa and Saj really wanted sunset photos and the sky did not disappoint that day.

The reception was absolutely amazing with Jason Jani of SCE entertaining. The toasts were great and the dance floor was rocking. We had such a blast at Alyssa and Saj’s wedding. Honestly, we consider them close friends now and are so happy to have been a part of their day. We know they will continue to make each other smile and laugh and feel joy forever.
