Enchanting Summer Wedding at Clarks Landing

Oct 12, 2021

Maureen & Lou 7.17.21

We had the pleasure of photographing Maureen & Lou’s enchanting summer wedding at Clarks Landing. They were one of our couples affected by the pandemic and we were thrilled when their wedding day finally arrived. They handled themselves with so much grace and patience the entire time and they deserved the best day ever.

We started with Maureen getting ready at her parents’ house on the water. We had fun with the bridesmaids outside before going in to get ready. Maureen’s mom and sister helped her into her gorgeous Kleinfeld gown and Sarah Flint shoes that matched perfectly. We couldn’t get over how incredible Maureen looked. She got a first look with her dad which meant a lot to both of them, and then we spent some time alone with our bride. She was an absolute dream to photograph!

The ceremony was held at the Parish Saint of Pio. Both Maureen and Lou are very connected with their church and their community and this was very evident in their ceremony. There was so much love surrounding them as they pledged themselves to one another. It was a beautiful thing to witness and we all cheered when they were announced as husband and wife. Then we headed outside for some photos of our bridal party and couple on the church steps.

Our next stop was Spring Lake Park where we were blessed with absolutely perfect weather despite the forecast predicting rain showers. The sun shone through the trees and gave our photos an amazing glow. We love how romantic and enchanting these images of Maureen and Lou came out. Then it was time to make our way to Clarks Landing for cocktail hour and reception. We made our usual stop at the dock where our couple had us swooning with how gorgeous they looked.

Then we went inside for our party, and what a party it was. Maureen had a wonderful surprise for Lou when she got in front of everyone and serenaded him (with help from her brother on guitar.) We don’t think we’ve ever heard a more heartfelt rendition of “At Last” and she had us all crying. Those tears quickly turned to smiles and dancing as The Nerds band had the floor shaking they were rocking so hard. This was a night to remember! We had such a great time with Maureen and Lou and we know they are going to have a wonderful life together!
