Legacy of Love: Susannah & Zeke’s Clark’s Landing Wedding!

December 12, 2025

There are clients who become more than just familiar faces—they become more like family. We’ve had the honor of photographing the wedding of Susannah, whose sister, Sarah, we had captured just a few years before, returning to a loving family we truly cherish! Their warmth and connection are something that radiates with every glance and embrace—a thread of love running through the ages, from grandmother to mother, from sisters to daughters.

The morning unfurled gently at the Susannah’s childhood home, bathed in the golden light of early fall. On the stone-laden patio, laughter sparkled along with uncorked champagne as the bride, her mother, her sister, and a joyful circle of bridesmaids toasted to love’s promise. It was a tranquil, intimate gathering—the kind only family can create, where every chuckle, every clink of a glass, holds the echo of memories.

In the lush garden, Susannah stole a few precious moments with her mother and sister, just the three of them, giggling and sharing secrets only sisters and mothers know. It is within these exchanges that we witnessed love in its purest, oldest form—three generations of steadfast women, together in the house where two of them grew up, all bound by an unspoken, unbreakable bond. The emotion in the air was palpable, so much so that the mother-of-the-bride found herself blinking away tears, wrapped in pride and nostalgia.

The anticipation swelled as the bride descended the staircase to greet her father, each step a journey through family history. Lined along the walls were photos of her childhood—snapshots from long before she could walk, let alone dream of wedding days. For a moment, time folded in on itself, and everyone felt the weight and wonder of generational love.

Meanwhile, Zeke experienced his own tapestry of family love, surrounded by jittery excitement. His parents’ care was evident as they adjusted his bowtie—his mother’s pride shining brightest of all! His groomsmen surrounded him in brotherhood, punctuating the moment with celebratory pats and laughter.

When the couple met for their first look on Avon Beach, nervous joy danced between them amid the sea breeze. There, with the ocean stretching behind them, their smiles felt as wide and endless as the horizon. Their ceremony unfolded at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, blending tradition with moments of humor—thoughtful speeches bursting with laughter and love. And then, onto Clarks Landing, renowned for its breathtaking magenta-blue watercolor sunsets—a canvas worthy of their story.

The reception glimmered with elegant whites and earthy greens, silver platters gleaming in the soft light, elevating the already stunning venue. Laughter ricocheted around the room, every wall echoing with the sounds of a family who knows well the joy of celebration. The couple’s beloved dog, Harvey, made a delightful appearance in a hilarious poster—his big, caramel eyes winning over every guest and adding a bit more heart (and humor) to the night.

Late into the night, the couple made their exit, surrounded by a tunnel of sparklers and the wild cheer of friends and family—the light of all those who love them shining a path into their new life together. This wedding was more than a day—it was a celebration of legacy and laughter, of love handed down from one generation to the next. We’re so grateful to have been welcomed back to document another chapter in this family’s beautiful story!
